Stir Fried Baby Kai Lan (清炒小芥兰)

Stir Fried Baby Kai Lan Recipe

Baby Kailan (Baby Kai Lan or known as Chinese Broccoli or Chinese Kale).




Ingredients:
  1. 450-500 grams Baby Kai Lan, washed and trimmed
  2. ½ cup oyster sauce
  3. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  5. 1 teaspoon sugar
  6. 1 ½ tablespoon vegetable oil
  7. salt to taste
  8. dash of pepper
Instruction:
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or pan over high heat. Throw in the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  • Add the baby kai lan, continuously stirring. Fry vegetables with high heat in short cooking time in order to retain its nutrients and keep veggie fresh and grossy bright green looking with more crunchy bites.
  • Add the soy sauce, sugar and oyster sauce. Season with salt and pepper and cook until it reaches a dark green color. If you find the flavor slightly overwhelming, you may dilute the dish with a little water.
